Article XI, Section 1 of the IUOE Constitution provides the General Executive Board with the authority to increase the annual per capita tax in an amount up to $0.50 per member per month on July 1, 2015. The General Executive Board determined at its April 8, 2015 meeting that $0.50 would be necessary at this time to adequately protect and preserve the interests and welfare of the International Union. This determination was based on the recommendation of the International Board of Trustees in conjunction with the financial projections presented at that meeting. Therefore, effective July 1, 2015, the Per Capital Tax rate will increase from $11.25 to $11.75 per member per month.
The above dues increase is strictly a "per capita" increase paid to the International; the Local 501 realizes no additional income.
